Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was raised by a mixed ethnic family. The father of her is Nigerian as well as Swiss and her mother is English. She was raised on the south London Council Estate and went to The Brit School aged 14. She earned her BA in acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. At the academy and performing in numerous stage plays, including King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her acting career through the film Storm Damage. Since then she's made guest appearances for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her first role in a film was Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. She then played Elisha, an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie in six episodes each from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. Also, the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in the year 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe was a part of the 2008 comedy feature film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. Her theatre credits include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009 when she appeared on The dramatic The Beautiful Life. The series aired only two episodes before being ended on The CW. Ashley Davenport, a character in ABC's Revenge drama series was cast for her as Ashley Davenport. Following her appearance as a regular on the initial two seasons the show was announced late May 2013 that Madekwe was set to quit the show following an appearance as a guest in the premiere episode from the 3rd season. Between 2014 and 2016, she starred in Salem on the CW as Tituba. Then, in June of 2012 Madekwe was married to her long-time love, actor Iddo Goldberg. In addition to Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked together on Salem and also he played a part alongside her in that show.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. Her parents were Roy and Patty and four older brothers: Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's brothers, who are all athletic, played in the summer months and play hockey in winters. Ashley was not a walker, but she danced. In the age of two and half, she found Baby Ballet. This was the beginning of Ashley's interest in dance. When she was in the high school she attended, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet pointe, acrobatics musical theatre, lyrical and hip-hop. Top soloists at big competitions, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more were awarded to Ashley.
